Port expansion plans

The port of Klaipeda plans to expand the cargo handling to up to 65 mln. tonnes annually.

  • Deep sea port vision
    Planned depth: 17 meters
    Planned realisation: 2020

    Will serve BALTMAX type of ships.
    Will handle 50 mln. tonnes of cargo per year.
  • Southern part of the port
    In 2017, Klaipėda city council has approved plans to invest 100 mln. euros and expand the southern part of the city and the port.
  • Kiaules Nugaros terminal
    Approved plans for 100 Ha expansion;
    Approved plans for southern roundabout connections.
